The Outpost Hotel Sentosa

The best hotel that we have stayed during our honeymoon vacation! We have travelled to over 8 different hotels during our period of travel, this was my favourite by far. There were so many special touches that made it memorable - Drinks on arrival, the lovely set up in our room and the cake surprise was top tier! The customer service was also excellent. Shout out to Prince at the reception who was attentive and welcoming! We had room service and breakfast which was both delicious. We got to enjoy happy hour and the bar by the pool which was fantastic too. I would definitely recommend!

My daughter had her wedding at Revelry hall on 18 Nov 2023. Eva & Byron were the 2 key managers in charge. I would like to express my deep appreciation for their help & work done. Kudos to the banquet service staff as well for their excellent service. My guests have commented that cuisine served was delicious & decent in portions . One commented that the food served was better than the wedding dinners that they attended at 5 star hotels at Orchard. My special thanks to the chef & his team.

This hotel is amazing. I love that after I have check-in at the counter, they will let you choose few snacks to bring up to your room. Secondly, the room interior is designed very beautifully and classy, thus, the feeling when you enter is very comfortable. Lastly, the sky pool is located at the roof together with 1-Altitude Coast. It perfect for a mini getaway or couple retreat.

I have stayed in this hotel for 3 nights from 15 Nov 2023. The staff service at Outpost Hotel is like a joke. When entering through main entrance at the basement, the staff standing there is like a statue and this is not an individual incident. When I arrived at this hotel, the car stopped right at the front entrance, the staff was not prepared to take out the luggages for me. Every time I walked in and out, when I tried to give them a smile, they looked the other way and avoid eye contact. It seems like this kind of lack of professionalism is wide spread across different departments at Outpost Hotel. Front desk staff are professional, but are not proactive in helping and serving guests. When I ask for a welcome tea, which is provided complimentary to every hotel guest at noon, the staff at front desk immediately gives me an unhappy face. I have spent a third of the time living in hotels around the world this year and I am shocked by this kind of unacceptable low service quality by the staff at Outpost Hotel. However, Village Hotel Sentosa next door is way more professional which belongs to Far East Organisation as well. It is definitely better experience for me to stay at village hotel or W hotel depend on the tier of hotel you would like to stay.

I called the hotel to make a reservation for a room and was transferred to a central reservation team. I was asked to write in and attach a discount voucher. I wrote in. I got no reply after 12 hours and called the hotel again. I was informed that the line for the central reservation team is not working. I wrote another email to follow up and got no reply. The next day I called again and finally got connected with the central reservation team. To my horror, I found that the two emails I sent have been read but have not been attended to and no reservation has been made after a more than 24 hour wait. Such customer service quality is not acceptable for any 5-star hotel

Although hotel was better suited for couples mainly because of the layout of the hotel room, my family and I still had a good time and it was great that the hotel’s pool next door was connected to our hotel so that was the highlight of our visit. However, my room somehow had an aircon problem and left our entire floor wet due to the condensation. We came back to our room shocked at all the moisture on our 1st night. It was quite dangerous and slippery and we had an elderly too. Called housekeeping and it took a while for the hotel staff to act upon it. First, the manager came to inspect and told us to monitor. What did that mean? We simply wanted housekeeping for the wet floor. Then, the next knock came and it still wasn’t housekeeping, it was a technician that came to inspect as well. Had to call housekeeping again to which then they mentioned that they’re busy and would come when they’re available. The third knock finally, came Matthew who saved the day. He helped cleaned and wiped the floor of our entire room, which we appreciate a lot, thank you Matthew! But by the next morning, the floor was wet again. It was only after we came back to the hotel room on our 2nd night out, that things seem to have been fixed. All in all, I appreciate the services rendered, but just a little flaw that I’ve never experienced in any hotels before and was surprised to experience at a supposedly reputable hotel.

As I write this review at 0600 in the morning there is music blasting from the pool, I’ve been awake since 0430 !!! Why play pool music at this hour ?? Entry into the hotel is very confusing. Walked through a carpark (bypassing staff who didn’t bother to intercept and see if we needed help , despite carrying multiple pieces of luggage through a carpark on foot) into a tiny lobby and was greeted by a staff member who couldn’t care less about assisting us. Receptionist however went above and beyond, she was very lovely. Adults only ??? Haha I don’t think so. You pay for the roof top adults pool but it’s not open to guests - private functions. Just book with village and don’t pay extra, you get access to the same and only facilities available.
